I’ve been living in Bangalore for the past nine years and have visited most of the attractions within a 30–40 km radius at least once. However, since the opening of Aquarium Paradise and its Mermaid Show in May 2025, I’ve already visited it twice.Ever since my childhood, I’ve had a deep fascination with the oceans and marine life. In recent years, I’ve also gone scuba diving several times to experience life under the sea.
What surprized me most about Aquarium Paradise was its impressive collection of fishes from oceans, and rivers around the world. One of the biggest attraction is the mermaid show, which is both captivating and entertaining. Visitors of all ages can enjoy its unique experience. The place makes a memorable outing for families, children, and adults alike.
About Aquarium Paradise
Aquarium Paradise is a large-scale aquarium spanning nearly 900 square meters. Fun World & Resorts India Private Limited developed it in Bangalore.

Aquarium Paradise is an excellent destination for family outings. Photography enthusiasts, and those seeking an educational experience or experiencing an amazing mermaid show finds this place very interesting. At the end of the tour, visitors can relax at the on-site cafeteria. The cafeteria offers a range of refreshments and snacks, including pizza, samosas, French fries, cakes, sweets, and other popular treats.
Marine Life in the Aquarium Paradise
The aquarium is home to a vast collection of fish species from different marine environments. Each species stands out for its unique characteristics, vibrant colours, and natural beauty. Among the most striking fish I observed were the Butterfly Koi and Iridescent Shark. African Knifefish, and Red Lily Gourami, along with many other fascinating species are equally striking.
Some of the largest aquatic creatures on display include various species of Sharks and Giant Snakehead. The ocean eels, are equally impressive to watch.
One of the most amazing exhibits is the collection of Jellyfish displayed in specially designed tanks. While scuba divers generally avoid contact with jellyfish in the ocean, observing these beautiful creatures in the aquarium is a completely different experience. Their movements and mesmerizing appearance in a separate dark room with multi coloured lights make them one of the highlights of the visit.
The aquarium also features several species of Stingrays, along with countless colourful small and tiny fish swimming through crystal-clear water. Watching these vibrant aquatic creatures is both relaxing and delightful, adding to the overall charm of the aquarium experience.
180 Degree Underwater Tunnel
As visitors move through the various aquarium exhibits, they eventually arrive at the spectacular underwater tunnel, one of the most exciting attractions within the aquarium. This tunnel offers a unique opportunity to observe aquatic life from an entirely different perspective. Watching sharks, large fish, and numerous colourful smaller species swimming gracefully above and around you create a truly mesmerizing experience.
The tunnel provides the feeling of being surrounded by the underwater world. Stretching approximately 180 feet in length, it is recognized as the longest aquarium tunnel in India. It is a must-see highlight of the aquarium. The breath-taking views and close encounters with marine life make this section of the aquarium an unforgettable part of the visit. Worth mentioning, the mermaid show takes place in the water surrounding this tunnel.
The Mermaid Show
After passing through the underwater tunnel, visitors reach the exit area. Near the exit a cafeteria offers a variety of snacks and refreshments. Although the seating capacity is limited, there are enough tables and chairs for visitors to relax and enjoy their food. Grab a snack, find a seat, and enjoy the mermaid show while enjoying your meal.
The live mermaid show is held only three days a week at specific scheduled times. Each show lasts for approximately 10 minutes per session. Details of the mermaid show timings are provided at the end of this article. During the performance, two beautifully costumed mermaids gracefully swim through the tunnel’s waters, accompanied by a variety of colourful fishes. Their synchronized movements and interaction with the aquatic environment create a magical experience for visitors. Without a doubt, the mermaid show is the highlight of the entire aquarium and a major attraction for guests of all ages.
Once the show concludes, it is time to leave the aquarium, taking wonderful memories of the fascinating marine life and unique experiences enjoyed throughout the visit.
Note: After exiting the underwater tunnel and entering the cafeteria area, visitors are not permitted to return to the tunnel or retrace their route through the aquarium. Security personnel stationed at the end of the tunnel strictly enforce this one-way visitor flow, so it is advisable to spend as much time as desired in the tunnel before proceeding to the exit.

Timing: 10:00 AM till 8:00 PM Monday through Sunday.
Ticket Prices: During the weekdays, the cost of each ticket is INR 499 plus applicable taxes. During weekends and holidays, the ticket costs INR 549 plus applicable taxes.
Mermaid Show: The show is available only on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays at 1:00 PM, 3:00 PM, 5:00 PM and 7:40 PM. Each show duration is 10 minutes.
